Izmir Bergama

Bergama which is in the Bakircay catchment is on the North of İzmir,one hundred km away.It has got archaeological findings from Ionia,Roman, Byzantium times.In Bergama Museum you will see all of them.Bergama temple(pergamum),Zeus altar was highjacked to Germany decades ago and great altar of zeus pergamon was dispalyed there.Serapis Temple, Asklepion and acropol on three hundred metres high hill are known as the charms of the historical area.
It is the famous touristic town with Kozak plateau,Ayvalık beaches,developed weaving-textile industry and Bergama carpets kilims making, aged leather bottle cheese.
Its name was Pergamon before.Milet (Miletos ) is the neighbour of it.
The weather in Bergama is hot and dry in summers,warm and rainy in winters.
