Bever Hotels – Hotel Chesa Salis

The fine 16th-century house was remodelled in the 1870s, and many rooms look like part of a giant doll’s house. One room, for private parties, is completely wood-panelled, with tiny windows; one bedroom is painted like a music box, another has very low beams. Champex Lac Hotels – Hotel Belvédère

Eccentric and informal, but comfortable, with a mish-mash of artifacts hanging from the ceilings and walls.
