Marmaris Castle and old city

The most significant building in the city center is the castle which was firsy time built by Ionians and then it was built once more in 1522 by Ottomans.It was restored between 1981 and 1991 and opened a museum in there.There are an archaeological findings room,a traditional Turkish house and the room of the castle’s commander.
An other Ottoman building is Caravansary built in 1545 , now you can do shopping ,buy touristic goods.
Marmaris Marina is the modernest and largest one in the South Aegean.Between wharf and marina you can rent a yatch for blue tours.Restaurants and bars along the wharf become full before the sunset.You can find every kind of music and entertainment.
Old city seems to be a huge shopping center.Shops and benches along the roads covered with tarps make a colourful sight.Even if you don’t buy anything ,you will pleased of walking around there.

Günnücek picnic area is good chance for people who like beach ve camp together.Heaven island,place of resort for the day,stands just opposite the city .
